We Must Adopt a New Protest Strategy Against Republicans AND Democrats

by Dean Malchik, Editor, unREVISE Media

I received an email a few days ago on behalf of a national politician – an email that infuriated me.

It was sent by John Fetterman, a pro-Israel, pro-Zionist, and seemingly pro-genocide U.S. senator, in support of that politician.

Fetterman, a disgusting politician who has stabbed his progressive supporters in the back, has turned out to be a disaster for the Democrats who elected him.

In disgust, I hit the Unsubscribe button on the email and received a response asking me why I was unsubscribing.

I responded: “I want nothing to do with Genocide John Fetterman.”

After unsubscribing, a strategy for change began to develop in my mind.

What if all of the people against genocide who receive such messages from politicians seeking financial support, vote commitments, etc., hit the Unsubscribe button on those emails and say that we want nothing to do with politicians and organizations that support apartheid and genocide?

If they receive enough unsubscribers, perhaps they will wake up to how unpopular genocide is.

However, just to unsubscribe is not enough. Since we will be unsubscribing from those who are at least opposed to the MAGA movement, we need to add something that will also grow influential movements for the good.

Therefore, in addition to unsubscribing from bad politicians and organizations and perhaps getting stuck with potentially worse politicians and organizations, we need a plan to build a stronger opposition movement.

For every politician and organization we unsubscribe to, we also need to subscribe to one or more politicians, leaders, organizations or movements that are against apartheid and genocide. By doing so, these movements can grow and will be connected to more people who can be called upon as needed to protest, to boycott, to oppose genocide, and to stop bad government policies.

So, unsubscribe, and then subscribe to one or more better replacements.

With both Republicans and Democrats supporting apartheid, genocide and other destructive policies, we must build a strong opposition.

And we have little time.

Please share this idea widely, and let’s build organizations and coalitions that will make it impossible for either Republicans or Democrats to do wrong with impunity – regardless of which party is in control.

As a new organization, Rights Hawks asks you to join us at RightsHawks.org and subscribe to our publication REVISE.com for free and share the sites with others. We need to grow so that we can make a stronger impact.

Update

Since I unsubscribed from that first account, I have also unsubscribed from Stop Republicans and Ridin’ With Biden.

To Stop Republicans, I wrote, “Don’t want to hear from Democrats who now openly support genocide. Stop your complicity in genocide. Shame on you!”

To Ridin’ With Biden, I wrote, “I don’t want anything to do with Genocide Joe and his supporters.”
